Tocotrienols with Sesame Lignans
60 softgels
Item Catalog Number: 00781

Most people don’t realize that vitamin E contains eight different compounds. Commercial vitamin E supplements focus on only four of these compounds called tocopherols, while mostly leaving out the four tocotrienols that are rich in therapeutic and antioxidant benefits. Life Extension's Tocotrienols with Sesame Lignans softgel capsules contain tocotrienols derived from red palm oil from the Elaeis guineensis tree.

Due to their unique chemical structure, tocotrienols provide potent antioxidant benefits throughout the body. Most importantly, tocotrienols shield DNA from oxidant damage while protecting cellular membranes. As research continues to accelerate, scientists are discovering that tocotrienols support healthy cell division,1 promote a healthy lipid profile,2 protect brain function,3 and even support healthy hair growth.4

In 2010, a team of Asian scientists demonstrated that this class of nutrients, which are difficult to obtain in sufficient quantities through dietary sources alone, may provide superior support in maintaining triglyceride levels already within healthy range in aging individuals. Just 120 mg per day of gamma-delta tocotrienols (provided in 2-3 softgels) induced a 28% decline in triglyceride levels in the blood after eight weeks.5

Sesame lignans have been added to Life Extension's red palm oil-derived tocotrienols to help block or inhibit the enzyme that breaks tocotrienols down, thereby increasing tissue levels.6 This translates into much greater antioxidant protection, decreasing destructive free radicals.

Comments about Life Extension Tocotrienols with Sesame Lignans, 60 softgels:

Tocotrienols (derived from palm fruit) are the least known, least-understood...yet the most powerful members of the vitamin E family.

Tocotrienols play critical roles in blood vessel, brain, skin health, and other vital organs, tissues and systems being studied.

Human studies have shown that aging individuals with the highest blood levels of all ALL vitamin E isomers (Tocopherols & Tocotrienols) have a significantly reduced risk for age-related cognitive impairment.

If you are not supplementing with all eight vitamin E isomers, you will NOT receive optimum protection from age-related cardiovascular & cerebral vascular ailments.

The addition of sesame lignans has synergistic benefits for this and other fat-soluble nutrients.
