Milk thistle extract has long been valued for its role in ensuring healthy liver function.56-65 This extract consists of silibinins and other similar compounds. Until recently, researchers believed silibinins were the most biologically active ingredient in milk thistle extract. Highly advanced extraction technology has now enabled scientists to isolate silymarin constituents and test their efficacy against various cell lines. I use it every day. I've been told that dandelion is good to put with Milk thistle for an extra umph to the milk thistle. maybe something you could put 'in' the milk thistle (extra ingredient).great product to take every day for preventative. I've been taking it for a long time and am very happy with it.

This product can be taken anytime during the day, either with or without food. I prefer it between meals; it doesn't upset my stomach. Perfect as a preventative measure for maintaining a healthy liver!

Product has all the right stuff and in good quantities. I have had no liver issues, which is the main reason I take this product; it is liver protective. All my liver blood test results have been normal.
