What is the FDA's position about the Foundation's activities?

What's a good basic program?
Life Extension Mix is the foundation of a nutritional supplementation program. Taking Life Extension Mix is an easy way to get the nutrients you need in one product, with the exception of calcium. We recommend Bone Restore. Men, and women under thirty-five years of age need 1000 mg calcium, women over thirty-five need 1200 mg calcium. Consider Life Extension Mix plus calcium as a basic nutritional regimen.
How do I take Life Extension Mix?
Life Extension Mix is available in powder, tablet or capsule form. Take three teaspoons of Life Extension Mix powder per day, one with each meal. If you prefer tablets, nine tablets per day are recommended, three with each meal. Fourteen capsules per day is the recommended dose of Life Extension Mix Capsules. A convenient way to take the capsules is by taking five with breakfast, four with lunch and five with dinner.
Why is it necessary to take fourteen capsules but only nine tablets of Life Extension Mix per day?
Life Extension Mix tablets are larger than the capsules and more tightly packed. A day's supply of Life Extension Mix can be compressed into nine tablets. If you have problems swallowing pills, you may wish to order Life Extension Mix Capsules.
What's the difference between Life Extension Mix and Life Extension Mix with Extra Niacin? Which one should I take?
Life Extension Mix formula contains 73 mg niacin per daily dose, which means you'll be getting a little over 24 mg with each meal. Life Extension Mix with Extra Niacin, however, contains 345 mg niacin per daily dose, which is 115 mg per meal. Extra niacin is generally used by people with high cholesterol, as niacin helps to lower cholesterol. This high level of niacin creates what is called a niacin flush, a harmless sensation of warmth, heat and tingling accompanied by a temporary reddening of the skin that can last an hour or more. The niacin flush is usually not experienced by people who chose the regular formula Life Extension Mix.
High levels of niacin such as those in Life Extension Mix with Extra Niacin, should be used with caution by those having liver disease. Consult your physician if you have an elevation of liver enzymes or enlargement of the liver.

Are your products natural or synthetic?
We carry a combination of natural and synthetic products. Some advertising would have us believe that "natural" is better, but natural products in some instances contain impurities such as pollen and naturally occurring hormones that can cause problems for some people. Synthetic nutrients are manufactured to be chemically identical (with the exception of vitamin E) to those extracted from natural sources, and are the most pure nutrient products. Whenever possible, Life Extension carries pharmaceutical grade nutrient products.

We offer three major UPS shipping options: UPS Ground, UPS Second Day Air and UPS Overnight (Red label). UPS asks you to allow 7 days for standard Ground shipping which is $5.50. UPS Second Day Air guarantees delivery in two business days for an additional $7.00, or a total of $12.50. UPS Overnight delivers in one business day for an additional $16.00, totaling $21.50. What if I need to return something?
