What You Can Do To Reform The FDA
A unique opportunity exists to change the course of medical history. President Bush is considering who to nominate as the next FDA Commissioner.
One candidate for FDA Commissioner has a plan to reform the agency in order to speed the delivery of new medical discoveries.
The name of this candidate is Mary J. Ruwart, Ph.D. We have re-printed Dr. Ruwart’s Curriculum Vitae and a description of what she would do to overhaul the FDA.
Please notify President Bush that Dr. Ruwart is the best person to remedy the problems that exist at the FDA.
The greatest obstacle to your health and longevity is the FDA. Bureaucratic barriers at the FDA stifle the development of novel medicines, causing the suffering and death of Americans who desperately need these therapies to stay alive.
Our fear is that lifesaving therapies will continue to remain bogged down in FDA red tape if a change within the agency is not made.
As Commissioner, Dr. Ruwart would allow more Americans to gain access to medical treatments that could significantly extend the healthy human life span.
Even if Dr. Ruwart is not selected as FDA Commissioner, your letter makes it clear to The President that Americans want a Commissioner committed to making meaningful reforms, rather than maintaining the status quo at an agency that has lost its sense of scientific objectivity.
