Cardiac Collaboration
I read with great interest your article on EECP (enhanced external counterpulsation) in the June issue as a therapeutic option for people with congestive heart failure. Interesting, none of my doctors were aware of this technology. I copied the article for all of them. As a result, my cardiologist was so impressed with the article that he has made sure that I am now receiving EECP treatments which are improving my overall health and endurance. This is why I read Life Extension magazine, to discover new ideas not reported on anywhere else.

Sun Protection
Living in Arizona, I try to stay out of the sun (almost impossible) in order to avoid skin cancer which is very common out here. So I was very interested to read in your magazine about an oral sun block. At first I thought there is no such thing. But in your article everything was backed up by scientific studies. Thank you for this innovative information.

Diabetes Lifestyle
With every issue of Life Extension, I learn something new. My sister has diabetes which is controlled by oral medication and lifestyle. However, neither us knew about the dangers of glycation until we read your article about glycation and benfotiamine by Dr. Goepp. We have now changed our cooking habits and no longer eat browned meats. In addition, we have added benfotiamine to our daily vitamin programs as well. Keep up the good work.

Physician’s Choice
The other day in my doctor’s office I saw that he had a copy of Life Extension on his desk. I was surprised as he is a somewhat conventional doctor. When I mentioned it he said that he likes to read it because he learns about subjects they never taught him in medical school. I was pleased because now I have a better partner to discuss my health programs with.
