Only Through The Foundation
If you're past 40, you need rejuvenation research bad...real bad! Even if we learn how to stop aging in 20 or 30 years, you'll be too old for it to do you much good, if you're alive at all by then.
What you need is a way of reversing aging, not just stopping it. You need a way to enable you to grow younger, healthier and more vigorous; a way to turn back the clock, so you can prance around in youthful splendor for centuries, not just decades.
I know quite a bit about anti-aging research. Aging control is coming. Human beings will become physically immortal in the 21st century. I guarantee it! The only question is when. Will it come in 20 years? 50 years? Or 90 years? It all depends on us. The more money, time and effort we put into it, the sooner it will come.
Our lives are at stake. I know mine is. As of July, I'm 59, and I'll be 61 by the turn of the century. I don't have much time left. That's why the Foundation is funding rejuvenation research such as the study whose findings are revealed in this month's article, "Can Fetal Cells Regenerate Aging Mammals?"
It's the kind of research not being funded by anyone else. It's not the elegant research favored by academics, the conservative research favored by government, or the calculating research favored by industry. Instead, it's the kind of research favored by those who hate growing old and dying, who love life deeply and want to see the fantastic world of the future. It's funded by those who, like the poet Dylan Thomas, are driven to "rage against the dying of the light."
As you'll see when you read this article, the results of the study are not very hopeful. But, this is only the first in a series of rejuvenation studies we'd like to fund. We want to fund other studies in which young, genetically compatible tissues are injected or transplanted into old animals. We want to fund studies that attempt to reverse genetic changes in old animals. We want to fund studies to determine if there is a "death hormone" responsible for old age. And we want to fund studies of the effect on life span of hormones, neurotransmitters, enzymes and other substances depleted with advancing age.
The next of these studies will explore the effects of growth hormone injections on aging and life span in old rats. Growth hormone is the hottest rejuvenation therapy for humans, where we have tantalizing findings showing increased muscle mass, thicker skin, stronger bones revitalized immune function, and other signs of restored youth. Now, it's time to see if these rejuvenation effects can translate into longer life spans for aging animals. The Foundation's growth hormone study will be getting underway later this year at the University of California at Riverside.
The only thing stopping us from funding more rejuvenation studies is money. We already use the money you send for products to fund research to conquer aging and death. We hope you'll continue to provide us with this kind of support. But if you want to take a direct step to support rejuvenation research, you can send to the Foundation a directed donation. If you do so, we guarantee that we'll use every penny of it to fund studies aimed at making you younger!
