Has it ever occurred to you that fatigue, weight gain, abdominal discomfort, headaches, even aging skin could be due to a food allergy? Consideration of food allergy is a critical component of any comprehensive approach to good health.

The Food Safe Allergy Test measures your sensitivity to certain foods from an antibody-mediated immune response. The antibody measured in this test is IgG. This test does not measure the dangerous rapid-acting IgE food allergies.

The Food Safe Allergy test comes conveniently packaged as a kit. It requires a “finger stick” blood spot to be collected and shipped directly to the laboratory in a pre-paid envelope. All necessary components for the “finger-stick” are included in the kit with a complete set of instructions for easy collection.

Hi, I’m Dr. Judith Thompson, a health advisor at Life Extension.

Have you ever considered the fact that the food you eat might be affecting your immune system? That your diet might actually be making you sick?

Are you living with annoying symptoms that have not been diagnosed … like abdominal discomfort, congestion, headaches, fatigue, joint and muscle pain, feeling blah or even aging skin?

We’re all familiar with rapid-acting food allergies! People with this type of allergy to foods like peanuts or shellfish know it! We’re not going to be talking about that type of food allergy today. Those types of allergies are easy to understand and avoid.

But what about slow-reacting sensitivities … where the symptoms might not be felt for hours or days after you’ve eaten a certain food? If you’re interested in a comprehensive approach to maintaining good health ... and who isn’t ... then considering foods you may be sensitive to is a smart plan.

First let’s take a look at how your body’s immune system is impacted every time you eat:

We’ll use wheat as an example since it’s eaten by most people every day. If your body identifies wheat as “safe” to eat ... then no immune response is set in motion ... and that’s a very good thing!

But ... if wheat is NOT safe ... then your immune system classifies the wheat in the bread you just ate as an antigen ... something it needs to get rid of. An antibody known as IgG4 is sent to “fight” and eliminate the antigen ... in this case wheat!

What makes things even worse is the fact that the immune system was designed to remember antigens it has been exposed to in the past. So every time you eat wheat your body sends out more and more IgG4 antibodies to eliminate this unsafe food.

So what does that mean to you? Well ... if you don’t eliminate the antigen ... in this case wheat ... you may develop chronic long-term symptoms leading to degenerative conditions. Something you surely want to avoid! Who wants to live feeling miserable a lot of the time??

So now that we understand how our immune system reacts to both safe and unsafe foods we need to understand what food will be tested and how the results will help you identify Safe vs Not-Safe food.

This Food Safe Allergy test measures 95 common foods covering 9 categories … such as fish, dairy, meats, shellfish, grains, nuts, vegetables, and fruit … plus miscellaneous items like sugar and coffee.

Each food antigen is tested and the IgG4 antibodies you produce are ranked according to their concentrations in the blood. All foods that have low or clinically insignificant levels of IgG4 are classified as “safe” on your report, meaning you can continue to eat them!

Foods with a medium concentration of IgG4 antibodies receive a ranking of “moderate” under the “not safe” category. Foods with high concentrations of IgG4 antibodies are those foods to which you are highly reactive and are listed under the “avoid” and “not safe” categories.

Any food in the “unsafe” category should be completely eliminated from your diet for at least 4 weeks to reduce production of IgG4 antibodies and allow your immune system to take a break from overreacting to those foods.

After 4 weeks, food in your moderate category can be reintroduced to your diet in a rotation diet. In other words ... they may be eaten once every four days. Food in your High category should generally be eliminated as they will trigger an unwanted immune response in your body.

Wouldn’t it be great to identify foods that make you feel less than your best … or even make you feel miserable? Plus following a rotation diet will allow you to eat even moderately unsafe food and still feel good!

And another bonus ... when ordered through Life Extension, the test results are sent directly to you and can be reviewed with one of our Health Advisors. They will arm you with the information necessary to fully understand your results, PLUS you will know how to have a meaningful discussion with your own doctor.

You don’t even need to leave the comfort of your own home to take advantage of this phenomenal value. The Food Safe Allergy test comes conveniently packaged as a kit! A simple “finger-stick” blood spot is collected by you and shipped directly to the laboratory in a pre-paid envelope.

Make sure to eat the same diet you have been eating before the test for the best chance to identify foods that may be causing problems.
