The Urinary Hormone Profile is a 24-hour urine collection that tests for steroid hormones that are widely used in clinical practice. Many doctors use urinary hormone profiles as an integral part of natural hormone replacement, dosage adjustments, and monitoring. This urinary hormone profile was custom built for Life Extension and contains an incredible amount of hormone information including important ratios like the 2/16 hydroxyestrone ratio. It is ideal to use in combination with blood tests of hormones but it can also be used in place of blood testing, especially for more complex hormone issues since it captures more hormones and metabolites than most blood tests.
The 24-hour Urinary Hormone Profile includes:
This urine test is conveniently packaged as a kit and requires an in-home collection of a 24-hour urine specimen. You will pour the collected urine into a small tube. Then ship the kit directly to the Laboratory using a pre-paid UPS label. All necessary components for the collection are included in the kit with detailed instructions for collection. Please read all instructions before you begin the 24-hour urine collection.
† Please note that these estrogen metabolites are not reported in men as values are so low they are non-detectible.
